So Many Babies…

I feel like everyone I know is either having or had a child this year.

I also feel like that Dan (the man) and I are the last ones without spawn. Sure, we want children someday. But not while we are both in college and, to be honest, I really love wine.

I am also worried that the relationships that I have with my friends will be different. You can tell me what you want about everlasting friendships, but trust me, the dynamics change. Turning into a parent does tend to change a person. I am terribly happy for my friends, don’t get me wrong. But part of me wonders if we should have children just so we can keep the all the friends on the same page. Then agin, I really really love wine right now. Also, I think about the poop, (oooh my gosh the poop!) and then I am okay with my friends waiting for us to catch up.

This is a great opportunity for some Baby Sweater Knitting, however.

A few weeks ago, I was able to get some hand painted MadelineTosh DK yarn. Enough for 2 Baby Sweaters. One boy and one girl. EEEK!

I have my patterns ready. These can be good distractions from the grueling process of finishing my UFO’s. Now I can’t wait for a couple of friends to tell us “boy or girl”! Really, I can start knitting now and wait and see, but I am just so excited! Baby knitting is so fun and I love giving gifts. 🙂

I am a reader of many beautiful things, a fantastic knitter and a lover of wine. I love writing stories. I am a daydreamer and very neurotic, but my husband married me anyway. Bless that man. Really, I am just a girl who finally figured out what she wants in life.
